Tricia's Troops Programs

Project Connect

Our new program, “Project Connect,” will be a free 4-week initiative designed to help cancer fighters and survivors optimize their wellness through healthier eating choices, increased physical activity and enhanced social support.

Our goal is to educate, inspire and empower our cancer community to make simple lifestyle choices that can help their bodies heal and create a sustainable foundation for optimal living with cancer and beyond!

Present Connection

As a symbol of hope and support, we send a fresh bouquet of flowers to patients at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital during their initial appointment for chemotherapy. We also distribute Chemo Care Tote Bags and Oral Care Kits to patients at other local cancer centers that are filled with a variety of items to provide much-needed comfort and relief to individuals beginning treatment. These gifts ensure that cancer fighters know they are thought of, cared for and never alone on their journey.

Our thanks to Village Dental Group and the following businesses for their support of our Oral Care Kit Program:

Care Connection

Our CARE (Cancer Assistance Relief & Encouragement) Program focus on the practical concerns, out of pocket costs and daily living needs that arise from living with cancer. By helping alleviate some of the daily stresses associated with a cancer diagnosis, people are able to place more focus on their health, happiness and those they love. To achieve this we provide limited financial assistance and free services to help cancer fighters address some of the non-medical challenges that insurance doesn’t cover. Based on the unique needs of each individual, we may offer support in the following areas:

  • Transportation/Fuel
  • Groceries/Meal Support
  • Housework (Cleaning, Seasonal Chores, Repairs etc.)
  • Laundry (Wash & Fold Delivery Service)
  • Utilities/Bills
  • Wigs, Cancer Care Products and Supplies
  • Treatment-Related Dental Care
  • Child Care
  • Non-Medical Caregiving
  • Complementary Therapies/Exercise/Wellness

We accept referrals from local cancer centers and can also support individuals who contact Tricia’s Troops directly. If you or someone you know may benefit from the help of Tricia’s Troops, please call (262) 303-4034 or e-mail candi@triciastroops.org.

Faith Connection

This program is all about believing in the power of prayer! We have a group of volunteers committed to lifting up in prayer the names of anyone living with cancer who requests this spiritual support.

If you’d like to make a prayer request or become a volunteer, please call (262) 303-4034 or e-mail candi@triciastroops.org.
